GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN 'GRIN'

The three "crazy doll ladies" as one person called us while we were out shopping. We had so much fun being together, laughing and trying to be the first one to find that really special doll deal before the other one"Grin". Course Bob, John and Ken couldn't understand us "LOL"...they think we reverted back to our childhoold. Anyway, Dottie is was GREAT and the three of us will do it again next time you are here. (Thank you for the pedicure/nail time we had together...too funny we were...I think they were laughing at us here too; not to mention the Mexican restaruant) Will miss you BIG TIME and LOVED seeing and spending time with both you and Ken.

Sunshine Jessica Sheds Her Braces Today

Congrats to Jessica...after three years of wearing braces they finally came off this morning. Her mouth is a little puffy and red since it took almost two hours to remove them and clean her teeth. A beautiful smile for a beautiful girl . Sheri Babe will be next in about a year "Grin".

My Beautiful Birthday Flowers

Yes, today was a big day for me...I turned the really young age of 61! I can't believe the years have come and gone by so quickly "Grin". I thank God for the many blessings he has given me; especially my beautiful children, grandchildren and sweet hubby. There is no more precious gift than these!

I loved the roses from Jason and his family and thought I would share them. John also took me to my favorite restaurant and we will be taking a few days vacation this week to celebrate further. Yeah!

The Cast from the Play

Here is a group shot of the cast after they play. They all did a good job. All went to a cast party to celebrate. They boy next to Jessica played her husband Chicago in the play. Really fun play to watch!!! Good job to all of them.

Jessica plays Cecile in "Is He Dead Yet?

Here is Jessica in her High School play "Is He Dead Yet" that we went to. It was really clever and funny; plus she did a fantastic job. Can't wait to see her in musical they will be performing in a few months. All of us were really proud of you. Love Grandma Ginger

Found this sweet picture of Dad playing pool with the boys. He loved playing with everyone and he was such a WINNER. The pictures on the wall behind them are those who lost to Grandpa Great over the years. You can see Grandpa Ken is one of them on the wall. Love and miss Dad. He was the BEST!

Sheri Babe after Cheer Practice

Here is a picture of Sheri Babe who just finished "Varsity" cheer practice today. She is a Junior in High School this year. Go to Grandpa/Uncle John's blog to see Jennifer's and Heather's cheer practice picture. They each have full school workloads but enjoy cheer, choir and theatre as their electives.

Jessica Leaving Play Practice

Jessica is in a school play this week called:
"Is He Dead?" it is a quirky comedy about a Parisian painter who is both deeply in love and deeply in debt. At his friend's suggestion, the painter fakes his own death to drive up the value of his paintings. Disguised as his own twin sister, our painter struggles to conceal his identity from his fiancée just long enough to get them all out of debt. Jessica plays the role of Cecile. She has been attending play practice over the summer and will perform this Friday and Saturday evenings in the school theatre. Can't wait to see it.
I went and picked Jessica up after practice today, along with Heather, Jennifer and Sheri who also had to stay after school because they each had cheer practice.

Oregon/Phoenix Cousin Hikers

Thought this was one cute picture of the "Cousin" hikers who went up the mountain behind Dottie's and Ken's home. No one even looks tuckered out...are they hikers or what? I think everyone has good memories from the reunion in Oregon. Love you all. Aunt Ginger

Heather...Just Tooooo Cute!

One of my favorite hobbies...just ask the grandkids...is taking pictures. Heather came over to help take care of Grandpa John with his sore knee but I had to take a moment
for pics. She is so sweet.

Jennifer and Joshua

We took Jennifer to watch one of Justin's football games. Two cute cousins just hanging out while the game is in progress! Yes...Justin's team won!

John and Ginger

John and I climbed Thumb Butte in Prescott, Arizona. It was so funny because they had benches along the trail; usually I just sit down on a rock to rest. LOL...hey maybe benches are not such a bad idea since we are getting up there in age. "Grin" Jessica was on this hike with us but is the one taking the picture. Thanks Jessica!

Sheri Babe and I finally completed the hardest puzzle in the world! It was of chocolate candy kisses and every piece looked the same. (Actually Sheri did more than I did...she has a keen eye for puzzles "Grin")

Justin Going Up for the Football

Just one of the many times I have watched Justin go up and grab the football and then run it all the way to the end zone for the score. He is like lightning when he has the ball in hand and heading down the field. No one...I mean no one can catch him!

Christopher

John and I enjoy going to see the plays, programs and sports events the grandkids participate in. Here is Christopher in his school play "Much Ado About Nothing". He also had a lead in the musical "Godspell" earlier in the year. Great job Chris!

Grandkids Christopher, Jessica, Sheri Babe, Nicholas, Jennifer, Heather

This is a picture Tracie gave me for Christmas of the TK kids. As you can see they are lots of fun to be around.

Grandkids Joshua, Emily and Justin

Joshua, Emily and Justin were over visiting and I took this picture. Actually, Joshua turned 15 this day so it was his "Birthday". Yeah Josh! We celebrated the day befor. Aren't they cute?

Ginger with Brandye

I love hiking. Here I am hiking one of the trails in Utah with Brandye; John is taking the picture. Just beautiful country!

One of my favorite things to do is to go to the beach. John and I are in Florida in this picture. I just love hearing the roars of the ocean. We were visiting his mom.

My First Blog!

The year 2007 has been fun and full of surprises. John and I took a trip across America for 2-1/2 months pulling our trailer with our wonder dog, Brandye. We traveled over 7,000 miles and saw many historical sites and family along the way. To name a few, we visited Jamestown, Yorktown, Williamsburg, Washington DC, the Liberty Bell, Statue of Liberty, Graceland, Mount Vernon, Plymouth Rock, Boston Harbor, Niagara Falls...it just goes on and on. We returned to Phoenix for three weeks and then headed up to Oregon for a family reunion which was the highlight of our summer. Wow...what wonderful memories. (Talent shows, plays, karaoke night, jet boat rides, wine country tour, barn dance, awesome talented families) We definitely need to do it again next year. (Hey, Dottie...are we all invited back come 2008?)

After returning to Phoenix, John had knee surgery. It will take some time before he can jump, play tennis, fly his planes or begin my honey do's around the house "Grin"

I love spending time with Tracie, Keith, Jason, Kimberly, Brian and my ten precious grandkids. I like reading, chrocheting, playing tennis with John, hiking, learning to play my guitar and going to plays. Can't wait to get on the road again with my honey and kindred spirit "John" and visit everyone again!
